one-day field trip to Nelliyampathi -ECO CLUB

The Eco Club organized a one-day field trip to Nelliyampathi, Kerala, to enhance students' understanding of environmental conservation. Departing at 7:30 AM, the group enjoyed discussions during the scenic three-hour bus ride. Arriving at 10:30 AM, they explored waterfalls, viewpoints, and participated in a nature walk, observing diverse flora.Highlights included trekking in the Nelliampathy Hills, visiting tea estates to learn about tea processing, and exploring orange farms known for Nagpur oranges. After lunch, they visited Kesavan Para for panoramic views and the Pothundi Dam for relaxation and picnics.The day concluded with a reflection session on conservation efforts and a group photo. The trip reinforced the Eco Club's mission of promoting environmental awareness and the trip organised by college principal and staff., returning to college by 6:30 PM.

On October 2, 2023, the Eco Club organized a campus cleaning initiative in celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, in cooperation with Koduvayur Grama Panchayat. The event commenced at 9:30 AM with an inaugural address by Rev. Dr. Sr. Anitha Chiramel, the Principal, who highlighted the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship, drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings. The initiative was coordinated by Eco Club in-charge Reshma S., along with the dedicated efforts of teaching and non-teaching staff. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Eco Club members, students, faculty, and Panchayat members, totaling approximately [insert number] participants. Activities included dividing participants into groups to clean various sections of the campus, such as gardens, pathways, and classrooms, focusing on trash collection and litter removal. Awareness sessions were conducted during breaks, where participants shared insights on waste management and recycling practice
